Abstract
Enantioselective hydrolysis of diacetate of bis(trifluoromethyl)alkane diols has been demonstrated. Candida antarctica lipase was chosen from among commercial enzymes as the one most able to enantioselectively h ydrolyze the acetyl group giving optically pure diols and diacetate.
