Abstract
The Institute of Eletrotechnics and Energy of Sao Paulo University - S ao Paulo, Brazil started at the end of 1994 its activities in photovol taic system characterization and tests. The paper describes the labora tory testing facility for modules, ballasts and charge regulators. Som e minimal standard requirements for ballast and charge regulators for SHS were figured out.
