Abstract
The surface of the stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti) was finished by means of the electrochemical method. The emittances of the polished specimen s were measured. The operating condition of the nearly lowest emittanc e was obtained. The theoretical results of the ideal surface of the st ainless steel were calculated with the electromagnetic theory. A good agreement between experimental and theoretical values was observed.
