Therapists working with bisexual women clients need to inform and prep
are themselves in a way that will allow the unique needs of bisexual w
omen to be addressed in a constructive and supportive manner. To date,
the literature pertaining to therapy with bisexual women has been ext
remely limited. This paper attempts to identify ways in which bisexual
women's needs in therapy differ from those of either lesbian or heter
osexual women clients. Furthermore, it provides suggestions for how th
erapists can prepare themselves to pursue meaningful and productive wo
rk with bisexual women clients.
