Abstract
We report on the annealing study of the Y1-xPrxSr2Cu2.8Re0.2O6+z (z si milar to 1; x=0, 0.75) samples under elevated oxygen pressures (200 ba r). For the samples prepared at atmospheric pressures T-c=42 K for x=0 and < 5 K for x=0,75. After annealing for x=0, T-c increased from 42 to 55 K and superconductivity was observed at 14 K for the x=0.75 samp le. The data may be explained due to a reduction in oxygen chain defec ts.
