We report the discovery of cool, prominence-like material embedded in
the hot corona of the rapidly rotating dMe flare/spot variable, HK Aqr
. Using these observations we demonstrate that, unlike the case of the
rapidly rotating K dwarf, AB Dor, these features form well below the
co-rotation radius. Rather they have dimensions between 3-20 times tho
se of the very largest solar prominences. At least seven clouds were d
etected during each stellar rotation and they have a lifetime of great
er than the three nights spanned by our data.
