Abstract
We report on improved computations concerning two-dimensional (2D) rad iative modelling of solar prominences. This report mainly concerns a m ore correct definition of the bound-free radiative rates (incident rad iation and dilution factor). As a consequence, the difference (at a gi ven height) between the H alpha line integrated intensity computed res pectively in 1D and 2D geometries is found to be less important than w hat was previously presented (Paletou 1995).
