Abstract
We derive the Ginzburg-Landau equation for 2D d-wave superconductors w ith 4-fold symmetry, taking account of the internal orbital motion of the pairing electrons. The two d-wave components with x(2)-y(2-) and d (xy)-wave symmetry are mixed under a magnetic field perpendicular to t he 2D plane. The mixing of the two d-wave components induces a signifi cant paramagnetic effect in the strong-field region.
