Abstract
To explain high-T-c superconductivity in a quasi-two-dimensional syste
m, we proposed a charge-(electron-) confinement model, where the effec
tive electron-electron interaction potential is a logarithmic function
of interelectronic distance. It explains the experimentally suggested
charge Kosterlitz-Thouless transition in granular films, thus possibl
y verifying the model's validity.
