Y. Koike et al., DIMENSIONALITY, T-C AND CU-SITE SUBSTITUTION EFFECT OF IODINE-INTERCALATED AND OXIDIZED BI2SR2CACU2O8- INTERPRETATION BY THE MULTILAYER MODEL(DELTA ), Physica. C, Superconductivity, 263(1-4), 1996, pp. 329-332
Changes of the dimensionality and T-c through iodine intercalation and
oxidation have been studied in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta single crystals, B
oth intercalation and oxidation change the dimensionality of the physi
cal properties from pseudo-two-dimensional to three-dimensional and de
crease T-c. These effects are explained by the multilayer model, where
a high-T-c cuprate is regarded as an alternating stack of CuO2 layers
(superconducting layers) and block layers (normal layers), taking int
o account the proximity effect. The T-c-suppression by Cu-site substit
ution has also been studied for iodine-intercalated and pristine Bi2Sr
2Ca(Cu1-zCoz)(2)O-8+delta polycrystals with different delta-values.
