The temperature dependence of phonon energies and widths in Pb2Sr2Ho(Y
)(1-x)CaxCu3O8-delta is investigated by Raman scattering. No mode show
s an anomaly at the superconducting transition temperature (T-c). The
320 cm(-1) B-1g mode does not show an anomaly above T-c. The exchange
energy is estimated as 900 cm(-1) from the two-magnon scattering of x
= 0.
