Abstract
We have studied the temperature dependence of the magnetization for YB a2Cu3Oy single crystals with different oxygen contents. As for the oxy genated samples, an anomalous magnetization jump is observed at a cert ain temperature T-j just below the irreversibility line. The temperatu re and angular dependences of the jump are consistent with the first-o rder vortex lattice melting transition theory. The magnetization jump is suppressed by strong disorder due to the oxygen deficiency.
