Abstract
Electronic Raman scattering has been measured in Sr2RuO4 single crysta ls. We observe that the electronic Raman scattering exhibits a structu reless continuum spectrum extending to beyond 4000 cm(-1). The scatter ing rate Gamma of charge carriers, estimated from the observed Raman s pectrum, shows an omega-linear increase in the higher-energy region ab ove 500 cm(-1). This indicates strong correlation between charge carri ers. In the lower-energy region the scattering rate is almost constant , Gamma(0) similar to 300 cm(-1). This value is essentially the same a s that observed in high-T-c copper oxides.
