H. Aksela et al., ANGULAR ANISOTROPY OF THE KR 3D(3 2,5/2)(-1)5P-]4P(-2)5P RESONANT AUGER DECAY STUDIED BY UTILIZING THE AUGER RESONANT RAMAN EFFECT/, Physical review. A, 54(1), 1996, pp. 605-612
The anisotropy of the resonant Auger decay of the photoexcited Kr 3d(3
/2,5/2)(-1)5p states has been studied by comparing the new high-resolu
tion experimental results with the multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock calcu
lations. The measurements were made with very high photon and electron
energy resolutions in the Auger resonant Raman mode giving ''subnatur
al'' linewidths of similar to 35meV, which has enabled us to resolve t
he fine structures in detail. Comparison with high-quality experimenta
l results allows us to confirm the roles of exchange interaction as we
ll as initial- and final-state interactions in the theoretical descrip
tion of the angular anisotropy of the resonant Auger transitions.
