obtained ion-pair complex of doxepin-tetraphenylborate was used as an
electroactive material with poti(vinyl chloride) membrane. The electro
de exhibits near Nernstian response for doxepin. The electrode based o
n doxepin-tetraphenylborate as an ion exchanger and 2-nitrophenyloctyl
ether as plasticiser provides a rapid and sensitive method for doxepi
n determination. The determination of doxepin hydrochloride in a subst
ance and in pharmaceutical preparations by potentiometric titration ga
ve an average recovery of 100.3% and relative standard deviation of 1.
1%.
