G. Razniewska et M. Trzcinkaochocka, INTERLABORATORY COMPARISON STUDY ON THE ANALYSIS OF LEAD AND CADMIUM IN BLOOD, Chemia Analityczna, 41(3), 1996, pp. 467-476
In 1991, the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz organized prog
ramme of interlaboratory control system For laboratories routinely per
forming blood lead and cadmium determination with use of atomic absorp
tion spectrometry. At present twenty laboratories from Poland particip
ate in our programme. At the initial stage of carrying this programme
only about 50% of the total number of laboratories was gettingt correc
t results of lead and cadmium determination. Results after eight quali
ty control runs revealed significant improvement of blood cadmium dete
rminations, specially at low concentrations i.e. about 36 nmol l(-1) t
he number of laboratories with correct results increased up to 100%.
