Abstract
The genus Rosulabryum is newly described in the Bryaceae. It comprises the species in section Capillaria (Rosulata and Trichophora) of Bryum . These species are characterized by rosulate leaves that are obovate with denticulate to serrate upper margins and have Rhodobryum-like are olation, rhizoidal tubers, capsules with unreduced peristomes, and sma ll spores. In all, 54 ram are considered to belong to the new genus, o f which II are transferred in this study. Bryum albolimbatum (Hampe) J aeg. is selected ns the type species. Relationships with other genera in the Bryaceae are discussed, and a key to the new genus and related genera is provided. Notes on ecology and distribution are included.
