Abstract
Magnetic susceptibility records of Deep Sea Drilling Project sites ind icate that the Cretaceous-Tertiary impact amplified or induced strong similar to 100 k.y. oscillations in South Atlantic sediment properties . The timing, amplitude, and persistence of these oscillations suggest that the impact enhanced the sensitivity of the oceans to orbital for cing for almost 1 m.y.
