Abstract
Parent-completed questionnaires have been used by physicians and other health care professionals to assist with the identification of young children with developmental delays. The Ages and Stages Questionnaires , a parent-completed developmental monitoring system, is used in home visiting programs, child-find projects, and teen parenting programs, a s well as in a variety of medical settings. Strategies for using the A ges and Stages Questionnaires, advantages and disadvantages associated with each strategy, and examples of programs using each strategy are described.
