Abstract
New Ph-based copper oxides (Pb(0.5)M(0.5))(Sr0.9Ho0.1)(2) (Ho0.7Ce0.3) (2)Cu2Oy (M = Pb and Cd) have been synthesized successfully. The struc ture of the compounds has been determined using the powder X-ray diffr action data. It is found that the lattice parameters are a = 3.8368 An gstrom and c = 29.1894 Angstrom for the compound with M = Pb and a = 3 .8168 Angstrom and c = 29.3372 Angstrom for M = Cd. XRD results show t hat the structure is isostructural with (Pb, Cu) (Sr, R)(2)(R', Ce)(2) Cu2Oz (R, R' = rare earth elements). (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
