Abstract
The paper reviews some aspects regarding environmental protection usin g biodegradable composite structures based on natural and synthetic po lymers. Higher plants (wood) offer the model of three-dimensional biop olymer composites, capable of biodegrading themselves. Starting from t his, researches have been initiated for the design and realization of certain environmentally compatible products.
