Abstract
Nitration in acetic acid medium of furfural lignocellulose, a by-produ ct from furfural production, has been achieved. By successive precipit ations with ethyl acetate, water, methanol, methyl ethyl ketone and me thyl ethyl ketone/water mixture, several nitrolignin fractions were ob tained. The obtained nitrolignins have been characterized by elemental , analysis, FT-IR and H-1-NMR spectroscopy and thermogravimetry.
