Abstract
A time-of-flight (TOF) electron spectrometer had been used to measure absolute total cross sections (TCS) scattered from helium and argon ov er the energy range from 1 to 50 eV. The TOF spectrometer and experime ntal procedure are described briefly, and experimental results are pre sented together with associated errors. The results are found to be in good agreement with other experimental and theoretical data. Copyrigh t (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
