Abstract
Relationship between radiation stability and isotacticity of polypropy lene was studied. It was found that the higher the isotacticity, the b etter the radiation stability under lower dose irradiation. Special PP powder with higher isotacticity can keep the melting index change les s after gamma-irradiation in air. Furthermore, the special PP powder w ith higher isotacticity has lower intention of branching after 1 kGy g amma-irradiation in vacuum and has lower intention of degradation afte r 5 kGy gamma-irradiation in vacuum.
