Abstract
All factors which govern blood now are of varying significance in vivo , depending on the size of the vessels. The deformability of individua l cells becomes important in the capillaries when cell diameters are s imilar to capillary diameters. A variety of techniques have been used to measure cell deformability, one of tile most commonly used is that of filtration. This paper reviews the progression of filtration studie s nifh respect to the circulatory disorder of peripheral vascular dise ase.
