M. Zerbib et al., TRANSURETRAL ELECTROVAPORIZATION OF BENIG N PROSTATE HYPERTROPHY - PRELIMINARY CLINICAL-TRIAL AND HISTOLOGY, Journal d'urologie, 102(2), 1996, pp. 79-80
Twenty five patients with symptomatic BPH and normal PSA underwent ele
ctrovaporization. The mean IPSS was 21.5 before and 7.8 three months a
fter treatment while the mean peakflow was 7.1 ml/s and became 16.9. W
ith a short hospital stay (3 days) and a very low morbidity, electrova
porization seems to be a good alternative to TURF. A longer follow-up
is necessary.
