POLYMORPHOUS LOW-GRADE ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE TONGUE

Primary adenocarcinomas of the oral cavity in minor salivary glands ar e distinctive lesions which can he subclassified according to their gr owth patterns or histomorphology. Polymorphous low-grade adenocarcinom a (PLGA) of minor salivary tissue has been recognized as a distinct en tity. We report an unusual case of PLGA of the tongue, Only a few prev ious cases have been reported in the English literature. The treatment is discussed and a review of the current literature concerning this t umour is included.
