Abstract
The synthesis of 4,5-disubstituted-3-amino-gamma-lactams from N-substi tuted aziridinecarboxamides is described. Bicyclic aziridine derivativ es were obtained from 1-N-Boc-aziridinecarboxamides under kinetically controlled conditions. Oxiranecarboxamides showed similiar behavior an d gave 3-hydroxy-lactams.
