Abstract
To improve the cleanliness of ultra-low carbon steel, several techniqu es concerning ladle slag control and RH treatment were adopted at Kwan gyang Works. As a result, total oxygen in slab is reduced to about 9 t o 12 ppm, and the rejected ratio in cold rolled coil is decreased.
