Fukuyama No. 4 blast furnace has been operated at 230 kg/t PCR and car
ried a stable monthly operation of 218 kg/t. This was achieved thanks
to the use of eccentric double lances with high combustion efficiency
and the use of Hybrid Pelletized Sinter with superior reducibility and
melting characteristics. This setting brought a reduction in fine cok
e ratio in the deadman and improved permeability. The next evolution i
s to achieve a PCR of 250-300 kg/t.
