Abstract
Horses emit many signals that convey information pertaining to their i ntentions, present activity, social status, or mood. Humans can learn to understand these signals and what they mean. Perhaps the most prono unced behaviors horses display are those that indicate agitation. A re cent study conducted at Purdue University explored the level of rider experience - beginner, intermediate, and advanced - and its effect on agitation behaviors in horses.
