The very neutron-deficient isotope Cd-102 was produced in the reaction
Cr-50(Fe-56, 2p2n) Cd-102 at 195 MeV and was identified using the Dar
esbury recoil separator. A pure gamma-ray spectrum belonging to the de
-excitation of the excited states of Cd-102 was obtained in-beam. Twen
ty gamma-ray lines were identified, ten of them for the first time. Th
e intensity balance concerning some of these gamma-rays together with
the results obtained from the coincident measurements show the existen
ce of a new set of levels which may be interpreted as being a side ban
d confirming the coupling of(v)(-2) and (pi)(4) configurations.
