The left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model, based on SU(
2)(L) x SU(2)(R) x U(1)(B-L) symmetry, has many predictions one can te
st at TeV-scale accelerators. These include the existence of new heavy
weak bosons W-2 and Z(2) and right-handed neutrinos, as well as of tr
iplet Higgses. We discuss various direct tests of the basic ingredient
s of the left-right symmetric model, as well as of its supersymmetric
version, in e(-)e(-), e(-)gamma and gamma gamma collisions at high ene
rgies.
