Abstract
Excess molar volumes of an aqueous solution of 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethan ol {CH3(CH2)(3)O(CH2CH2O)(2)H C4H9O(CH2CH2O)(2)H composition and tempe rature. The measurements have been made at the temperatures (278.149, 288.146, 298.144 and 308.141) K. The value of V-m(E) is negative over the whole composition range and increases with temperature. In the mol e fraction region about x = 0.02, similar behaviour is observed to tha t of 2-butoxyethanol C4H9O(CH2)(2)OH. (C) 1996 Academic Press Limited.
