Hydrodynamic prerequisites for fluidization of a material in a continu
ous fast-freezing apparatus are considered. Based on solution of the p
roblem on gas velocities in a closed volume. gas distribution conditio
ns are determined that provide steady directed motion of a material be
ing frozen in a fluidized bed. Also found are conditions under which t
he residence time necessary for freezing is achieved.
