Abstract
A repeated 221-nt fragment MBR1 was identified in the DNA of Mycoplasm a bovis and proved to contain four copies of TCTTT(G)(A)AAAAC(AA)(TG)A motifs known to be present in the spacer and promoter regions of myco plasmal rRNA genes. These sequences may be involved in gene regulation and deletion/insertion rearrangements.
