Mesenteric arteriovenous fistula (AVP) is an unusual complication afte
r vascularized pancreas transplantation. We report the case of a patie
nt who developed a mesenteric AVF in the transplanted mesenteric bundl
e which resulted in severe and protracted endocrine insufficiency nece
ssitating reinstitution of insulin therapy. This was reversible with s
urgical correction of the AVE This complication should be included in
the differential diagnosis of pancreas allograft dysfunction.
