The ANU linac, a superconducting linear accelerator, is nearing comple
tion at the Australian National University. In the first phase of the
project, three module cryostats and a super buncher cryostat are coole
d to 4.2 K using a closed loop liquefier/refrigerator system. The feat
ures of the cryogenic plant and the multi-process computer control are
described.
