Abstract
Mass-spectrometric analysis of the gas phase passing over the sensor o f a halogen leak detector leads to a conclusion concerning the thermal decomposition of molecules of Khladon-12 in the interelectrode space. Deposition of carbon on the surface of the emitter leads to ''poising '' of the sensor. Under the effect of oxygen from the air carbon is ox idized and the activity of the sensitive element is restored.
