Am. Smith et al., RECENT DEVELOPMENTS AT THE ANTARES AMS CENTER, Nuclear instruments & methods in physics research. Section A, Accelerators, spectrometers, detectors and associated equipment, 382(1-2), 1996, pp. 309-315
In conjunction with an extensive radiocarbon program, ANTARES has also
carried out AMS measurement of the radioisotopes Al-26 and Cl-36 with
the recent addition of I-129. Development of an AMS measurement capab
ility for Be-10 and for the actinides is underway. These projects pose
a range of technical challenges both in spectrometer performance and
in sample preparation. This paper discusses the special aspects of the
facility that have been developed to meet these needs, with emphasis
on Cl-36, I-129 and plans for future actinide measurements.
