Abstract
Synthesis of 4,4 '-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone was performed start ing from chloral. Various polyimides were obtained by reactions of 4,4 '-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzophenone with aromatic tetracarboxylic acid d ianhydrides. Some of the polyimides obtained are crystalline compounds .
