Abstract
The philosophical underpinnings of the Feminist Therapy Institute (FTI ) Code of Ethics, as well as its sensitivity to power issues and recog nition of the complexity of ethical decision-making, provide an excell ent foundation for helping feminist therapists respond confidently and competently to clients in the midst of a cultural climate that suppor ts increased questioning of the veracity of clients' memories of sexua l abuse, The suggestions in this article are organized around three of the major themes discussed by the FTI Code of Ethics: (a) therapist k nowledge and accountability, (b) cultural diversities and oppressions, and (c) egalitarian therapist-client relationships.
