Abstract
Neutron depolarisation, neutron diffraction and magnetisation measurem ents, on annealed polycrystalline powdered UCu2Ge2, conclusively rule out the transition to antiferromagnetic state at low temperatures. Ins tead, it is found that the ferromagnetic ordering is retained at all t emperatures below 107 K (T-C). However, below about 45 K, the system s hows a randomly canted ferromagnetic phase.
