Measurements on the temperature dependence of resistivity (rho) of pol
ycrystalline specimens of the heavy-fermion compound U2Pt2In and of th
orium-substituted (UxTh1-x)(2)Pt2In are reported. For U2Pt2In, a linea
r curve of rho(T) is observed for 15 K > T > 1.5 K, while the x = 0.9
alloy displays a knee at T = 20 K followed upon cooling by a quadratic
decrease of rho(T).
