Rg. Xiong et al., ANTIWEAR AND EXTREME-PRESSURE ACTION OF COPPER(II) COMPLEX WITH ALKYLPHOSPHONIC ACID MONO ALKYL ESTER, Journal of tribology, 118(3), 1996, pp. 676-680
The copper(II) complex with alkylphosphonic acid monoalkyl ester (CuAM
P) was synthesized, and its structure shown to be laminar on the basis
of fast atom bombardment mass spectroscopy (FABMS). The extreme-press
ure, antiwear and antiseizure performance of CuAMP was assessed using
a four-ball machine, The results showed that CuAMP exhibits better ext
reme-pressure and antiwear properties than tricresyl phosphate. Based
on the results of surface analysis, the antiwear action mechanism of C
uAMP is discussed.
