Abstract
In recent years, the traditional Atkinson retrobulbar block anesthesia
technique has been modified to reduce the risk of certain complicatio
ns. Technique modifications described in this paper eliminated anesthe
sia-induced postoperative extraocular muscle malfunction in a series o
f 8500 procedures.
