Abstract
Surgery for metastatic cancer of the brain parenchyma has been shown t o increase length of survival, especially in patients with primary bre ast cancer, RCC, and lung cancer. The identification of prognostic var iables common to patients with brain metastases has permitted developm ent of therapeutic guidelines.
