Abstract
Chromosomal assignment of the bovine butyrophilin gene (BTN) was perfo rmed by analysis of DNA from somatic hybrid cell lines using the polym erase chain reaction. The gene was assigned to bovine chromosome 23 us ing two sets of primers specific for bovine BTN.
