Abstract
The lifetime tau of fluorescence O-O line, D-5(0) --> F-7(0), in SrFCl :Sm2+ has been measured under high pressure up 10GPa. This study shows that tau decreases exponentially with pressure and can be expressed b y exponential regression tau(s) = 0.1853 + 1.1923 exp(-0.1366P) (GPa). Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
