Abstract
Internal friction in kHz range has been performed for single-phase HgB a2Ca2Cu3O8+delta. The results indicate that two peaks of internal fric tion appear near 150K and 230K, respectively. X-ray diffraction exhibi ts a lattice parameter stepping at tens of Kelvin above T-c. These ano malous phenomena are associated with lattice instabilities. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
